 FUndraisinG STATUS

The playground modernization project is a cooperative effort between the Town of Sudbury, Sudbury Public Schools, and PlaySudbury.  Together, we are working to bring our school elementary school playgrounds into compliance with federal and state regulations.

Summary of funds raised:
  • Town of Sudbury, October 2017 Town Meeting voted to appropriate $275,000 to kick off this multiyear project.
  • Town of Sudbury, May 2018 Town Meeting voted to appropriate $250,000 from CPA funds and $165,000 from free cash.
  • As of June 2019, approximately $18,000 has been raised from private donations and fundraising sales.
  • Town of Sudbury, May 2019 Town Meeting voted to appropriate $235,000 from CPA funds.
  • Town of Sudbury, Sept 2020 Town Meeting voted to appropriate $70,000 from free cash.
  • $150,000 granted from the Sudbury Foundation
  • $100,000 granted from the Cummings Foundation as part of the $100K for 100 grant program. #100Kfor100
